Terms & Conditions


Yash Raj Films Private Limited (YRF), one of the oldest and most decorated production houses in India, is a vertically integrated studio, controlling almost every part of the value chain from production to post-production, domestic & international distribution, music & home entertainment, marketing, design, digital, licensing, merchandising, talent management, brand partnerships, music studios and film studios. YRF has relied upon the continuous support and ability of the industry’s workers, who have played an instrumental role in the ascension of YRF as a global filming powerhouse. The COVID-19 pandemic has devastated the film industry and its workers, and YRF is committed to the thousands of daily wage earners of the industry and their families who are in critical need of support during this period.


To action its noble intentions, YRF, under its corporate social responsibility (CSR) arm, Yash Chopra Foundation, is commencing and organizing the “Saathi Initiative” (Initiative), which will aim to assist the industry’s workers (User) by allocation of funds at its own cost (Purpose). These Terms and Conditions (T&C) govern the way in which YRF shall be executing its Initiative, and shall include the provisions for the collection, usage, disposal of any sensitive personal data or personal data collected during this Project. By availing of this Initiative, it is deemed that the User has read and understood all the T&C and therefore, has irrevocably and unconditionally accepted all contained herein, including any/all amendment, modification, etc. made thereto by YRF without demur and shall throughout remain bound to them as under:


1. Agreement to Terms and Conditions

  • i. By participating in this Initiative, the User fully and unconditionally agrees to abide by the Terms and Conditions available on https://www.yashchoprafoundation.org (Website).
  • ii. YRF reserves the right to exclude any User from the Initiative for several reasons, at its sole discretion.
  • iii. YRF reserves the right to terminate, modify or extend the Initiative, at any time at its absolute discretion, without assigning any reason or prior intimation to the User.

2. Eligibility for Application

  • i. The Initiative is open to all Indian citizens across any age group, who are members of the Film Federation.
  • ii. The User represents and warrants that all the information provided by them is accurate, factual and does not suffer from any falsities. YRF shall not be responsible for the failure of delivery of services due to any erroneous details published by the User on the Website.
  • iii. User agrees that he/she will comply with all applicable local, state and federal laws, statutes and regulations regarding use of the Website and any funds allocated to them in view of the Project.
  • iv. The User acknowledges that the funds, if and when allocated to them shall solely be for the Purpose, and YRF shall not be responsible if and when the User partakes with the funds allocated to them for any of the following, or similar activities:
    • • any activity that violates any law or governmental regulation;
    • • any activity in relation to illegal drugs, narcotics, steroids, controlled substances; or other products that are deemed illegal by the applicable laws of India;
    • • human trafficking or exploitation;
    • • utilization for political or/and electoral purposes or any election related expenses;
    • • Gambling/gaming activity which involves an entry fee and a prize, including but not limited to casino games, sports betting, fantasy sports, or any venture that facilitates gambling, games of skill or chance.

3. Process of Application

  • i. To participate in the Initiative, the User shall be required to visit the Website and submit their UIDAI/Aadhaar card number and Mobile number, to map out the registration details for the Purpose of the Project.
  • ii. YRF shall confirm the details of the User by verifying it against the available records of the Film Federation.

4. Privacy Policy

YRF is committed to the ethical collection, processing, retention and use of information that you provide to us about yourself on the Website. YRF has adopted this privacy policy aimed at protecting the personal information entrusted and disclosed by the customers to YRF (Policy). For the purposes of this Policy, the terms “personal information” and “sensitive personal information” shall have the same meaning, as defined in law.


Applicability

This Policy is applicable to personal information and sensitive personal data or information (collectively Personal Information) collected by YRF for the Initiative. For the Purpose of the Project, YRF may collect the Mobile number, UIDAI/Aadhaar card number, Union/Association membership card number, PAN card number, Email address, Date of birth, Address, Number of dependents & Bank details, which shall qualify as personal data of the User. Furthermore, the collection of UIDAI details and the financial information including but not limited to bank account number, IFSC Code, location of the bank account, shall qualify as sensitive personal data of the User and is required for the purposes of allocation and transfer purposes, and will also be utilized for taxation purposes.


YRF shall be absolutely entitled at its sole discretion from time to time to add, alter, delete or modify any of the terms and conditions contained in the Policy. Such changes, additions, alterations, deletions, or modifications shall be binding on the User once the User visits the Website, after the Policy and/or T&C have been so amended.


Purpose of Collection and Use of Personal Information

YRF/Yash Chopra Foundation shall collect and use the Personal Information from its User to fulfil the following purposes only:

  • i. Internal record keeping;
  • ii. Creation of profile of the beneficiaries;
  • iii. Verification of the UIDAI profile;
  • iv. Verification of the membership/registration of the User with the appropriate film industry trade union/association;
  • v. Efficient allocation and deposition of funds to the appropriate bank accounts of the Users;
  • vi. To improve the Website;
  • vii. Efficient allocation of meal kits to the Users.

The Personal Information is collected and used for the specific CSR purposes mentioned above in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations. YRF/Yash Chopra Foundation shall not divulge any Personal Information collected from the User, for cross selling, marketing, and advertising or any other purposes.

The authenticity of the Personal Information provided by the User shall not be the responsibility of YRF. Any information, including Personal Information that is freely available or accessible in public domain or furnished under the Right to Information Act, 2005 or any other law for the time being in force shall not be regarded as personal information for the purposes of these T&C and YRF shall not be responsible for the same.


Disclosure of Personal Information

The Personal Information collected by YRF shall not be disclosed to any other organization except:

• Where the disclosure has been agreed in a written contract or otherwise between YRF and the User;

• Where YRF is required to disclose the Personal Information to a third party on a need-to-know basis to execute the CSR responsibilities of YRF under this Project, provided that in such case YRF shall inform such third party of the confidential nature of the Personal Information and shall keep the same standards of information/ data security as that of YRF/Yash Chopra Foundation.


Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures

The security of Personal Information is a priority and is protected by maintaining physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that meet applicable laws. YRF/Yash Chopra Foundation shall take reasonable steps and measures to protect the security of the User’s Personal Information from misuse and loss, un-authorized access, modification, or disclosure. YRF/Yash Chopra Foundation maintains its security systems to ensure that the Personal Information of the User is appropriately protected and follows the extant standard encryption norms followed for the transmission of information. YRF/Yash Chopra Foundation ensures that its employees and affiliates respect the confidentiality of any Personal Information held by YRF.
